About Us

Niagara Distributors Inc. is a full line bakery and food service distributor located in Hollywood, Florida. Niagara was founded in 1979 by Mr. Pat Lucci, the Chairman of the Board, who began a lengthy career in food service as a single unit franchisee of Mr. Donut in Buffalo, NY. Over the years his business grew form that one unit to become the largest Mr. Donut franchisee and an important leader in the industry fight for the independent franchise distribution. Mr. Lucci graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy as a maritime officer and a commission in the Naval Reserve.

Upon graduation, during the Korean War, he entered the US Navy and served 30 years both active and reserve, retiring with the rank of Rear Admiral. It was during his reserve years that, in 1967, Mr. Lucci entered the food distribution business and established the ‘one-stop shopping’ concept for the donut industry. Twin Bakeries, his first distribution company, grew to service over 180 donut shops out of a supply center in Buffalo, NY, and 57 more stores from Niagara Distributors Inc in Florida. In 1979 Mr. Lucci purchased Fort Lauderdale Wholesale Grocers and entered the food service and institutional distribution markets. Presently the company continues to operate under leadership of son Richard and daughter Janet with Mr. Lucci as an active consultant. Niagara represents the majority of the major U.S. manufacturers as well as a number of foreign manufacturers.

The company specializes in serving bakeries, restaurants, hotels and institutional markets throughout Florida and the Caribbean, Middle East, eastern Europe and Cuba from its Hollywood, Florida location. Daily deliveries are available in most locations throughout the state of Florida and Niagara’s customer service department offers technical and sales support to customers. Niagara operates out of a 45,000 sq. ft. warehouse building with approximately 100,000 cubic feet of freezer space. The company handles dry, refrigerated and frozen products and maintains a fleet of 10 company vehicles with frozen and dry capability. Niagara’s commitment to high quality service and customer satisfaction has been the key to the company’s growth in Florida. With 30 years in business and 21 million in annual sales, Niagara is large enough to offer its customers competitive pricing and small enough to deliver personalized service.
